SEMI-FORMAL

While Solo and Casey do not have a formal dress code, they are encouraging guests to at least dress semi-formal. This means cute casual to pant suites and blazers, and cocktail length to full length dresses. They'd like their guests to feel their best!

Is any portion of the wedding outdoors?

The wedding will take place mostly indoors, as the ceremony and the reception will all be held inside. However there will be a brief period outdoors for the transition from the ceremony venue (Stauffer Chapel at Pepperdine) to the reception venue (Duke's Malibu).

Do you expect it to be cold?

Since the wedding is being held in the winter, they do expect the weather to be somewhat chilly, but... LA's version of cold, lol. So maybe high 50's to mid 60's degrees. Bringing a jacket or coat is recommended since the marine layer near the beach makes it colder. It is highly encouraged to check the weather about a week out, and then the day of so guests know what to expect. Please keep in mind that the sun will be setting around 5-5:30pm which will also cause it to be colder earlier.

Is there a wedding color palette we should stick to?

While Casey and Solomon do have a wedding color palette for their beach theme, guests should feel comfortable dressing in any color they'd like! If you'd like to match the theme, then by all means take a look at their color palette photos for ideas, but this is by no means expected.

Are there any colors we should not wear?

No! Except, maybe no white dresses.. because... well.. you know! ;-)
